Workplace Representatives

Reps need to ring their Regional Office for a nomination form.  You will need to provide your Membership number, name and address before a form will be released to you.  I am looking for as many nominations as possible, so ensure that other reps at your workplace also ring and nominate.

The Amicus Rules say that Workplace Rep nominations must be made after a meeting of members that the Rep is responsible for.  Advice on the union website says that workplace branch meetings must give members at least 7 days’ notice of a meeting, posted on union notice boards, so it is best to assume that this applies to workplace meetings for Rep nominations.  You will need to say when the meeting took place and how many members were present when you fill in the nomination form, so keep a record.
